How long can an engine last with a knock?

Not sure if its a collapsed lifter, rod .bearing etc. Its a grand cherokeee 1994 with 4.0 straight 6. I was hoping it hold up for awhile until a find a good deal on a motor

What's the oil pressure at?



How long do you want me to make it last for you? I can give you a mix that will help a lot but you're on borrowed time...
 
oh, on a side note, ive got a wrecked cherokee that we needed the trans out of. motor still runs fine, cars just beat up...its got high mileage but could make a nice deal on the 4.0 for ya
 
If that don't work out...
1 quart of 20w-50...
4 quarts of gear oil...
1 quart of lucas oil treatment...

Ok thanks. I will be up to the store monday to pick that stuff up. I already have some lucas but i just added to the oil that was already in the crank case. I will drain the oil out and give this a shot.

No problem... I got tons of it around here... Lucas by the gallon too if you want.. :lol:
