So a month ago my good buddy & mentor Ray passed away after battling some recent health problems. He was almost 80, and has a lifetime of koolness in his shop. His wife Diane is having a garage sale November 11th. A lot of stuff has already sold to friends, but there is a lot of good stuff left. Small Miller TIG welder, Hobart mig welder (both with tanks), torch set, Hypertherm 30 plasma cutter, metal working hammers and dollies, hand tools, air tools, a small mill with tooling, a small lathe with tooling, band saw, drill press, drum & disk sander, etc. The upstairs of the garage has a full wood shop. Table saw, radial arm saw, planer, table router, scroll saw, etc. PM me for the address and time. I don't know prices on the stuff.

Thanks Motown!

Ray sounds like he was a great man, sorry for your loss.

You should consider posting an ad on Craigslist for this
sale. Don't forget to post photos with your ad.

I wish this wasn't so far, I would really like to attend this.

God bless you folks & I hope everything goes well with this.

Sorry for your loss John
Thanks Terry. It's a big bummer, Ray was a big influence on me, I wouldn't be doing the kustom paint work if it wasn't for him. I was able to buy some of his tools and one of his project cars. His wife is going to be selling the house in the spring, and we're going to see if it's in our budget. Has an awesome awesome shop.

What Ken said. Interested in Mill/lathe and metal working tools. What specific tig welder does he have?

On a side note I have a friend like that too who's 72 now and has been striping since h was 13. He's a great guy and used to teach my students a lot. I'm not looking forward to that day when he's not around either.

The tig is a Miller maxstar 150 I think. DC only. The lathe is an old Atlas, and the mill is an older import 2 axis similar to this

Sorry for your loss John. Ray sounds like the kind of guy we ALL want to know as a friend.
I'm interested in all the same stuff as everyone else!! I put this on my calendar and will try to make it up there.

Thanks Greg. Ray was awesome. That's actually not a big enough word. I miss him every day.

What time will the sale be on the 11th? I live literally 2 mins away but will be gone most of the 11th; wouldn’t mind checking out what is available.
