hooking up a 1 wire alternator

alright iv got a 93 s10 and i have a 1 wire alternator how do i hook it up?.do i run a wire right to the battery?or can i use the wire that is in the factory harness?.becuz i think i only had 2 wires hook to it last year before the frame off.

the single wire the the stud from the original harness will work fine, as long as it isn't much higher amp then the original alt
 
some of them you have to run a 4 inch jumper wire from the terminal to a spade connecter where a 2 prong clip would normally go...

i use one with the jumper now , it is a cheap one thru murry's , my old alt didnt use a jumper..

they work just as good as the rest , you just bring it up to 2k ish and they start charging and your mint , and you only need to take it up to 2k ish once and it will charge all the time (including at idle)
 
with the one wire mine goes ......from the battery to the alt , from the alt to the starter .........the jumper goes from the post on the alt to one of the prongs on the back of the alt
 
sweet my alt should be here by the end of the week.so i can hook it up and fire that bitch up for the first time.hear some thunder lol
 
its an ebay buy.its like DB something they have really good stuff iv bought tons of wiring and relays setups from them.i have a pic ill post it.
