I felt like king of the road in this thing. It just wasn't practical for me at the moment.

My new DD

Yes it is "murdered out" from the factory.
It looks pretty sharp, rides nice, and is fairly quite. It just does not have the feel of a truck/suv. It feels much like a car.

If your new ride has the V6, I'd thing MPG is close to the F150? No?
Our 2006 V6 Escape has terrible mileage.

It is V6 4WD(Auto 4x4)

The best city mileage i ever got in the F150 was 14.7 MPG. The Escape is already over 16 MPG and it only has 100 miles on it so hopefully it will still get a little better

The 2010's are the first model year to offer the "Sport Appearance Package" which includes the black wheels (among a bunch of other stuff).
