Holsters for Concealed Carry

Hey peeps,

I have a P226 Sig 40cal and currently own a Smart Carry Holster for it:

www.smartcarry.com

Just want to know what some of you have for bigger guns that is comfortable. This thing If I wear it all day gets a little uncomfortable and I have to adjust my Krotch often. I put up with it for a few years but would like to know if there is something better?

I can't see how a hidden gun would be much of a deterrent. Wear it from a belt holster. :D
can't open carry in michigan. let's all move to texas and wear shotguns for necklaces.

it's technically not "illegal" but yea, u wouldn't get very far doing it haha

open caryy is legal but you would probably go to jail for it anyway.
I have a fobus and its so tight I can never get the gun out

The Deterrent would be very well known when someone decides to turn up da heat!:rocketwho

Sig 229 here, I also carried the Glock 23. I use Uncle Mikes inner pants holsters, really nice. But a firearm that big will never be comfortable. I was thinking of getting a little titanium revolver to carry around. I got the Uncle Mikes inner pants holster at CMP in Dearborn, or Detroit, can't remember now where its at. sorry its mostly a "cops only" store. I think if you go on Galls.com they have some stuff also

I use this one. Its comfortable for the most part. Its a Galco inside the pant.

If there is something specific that you or anyone else on this board for that matter wants from CMP, drop me a PM and let me know exactly what you want and I'll pick it up for you. Now, on to holsters for the p226, I have the exact gun for on duty carry, and most of the time, I elect to carry that off duty instead of my p239. I have an uncle mikes inside the pants holster that works awesome, and I also have an elastic "belly band" much like the smart holster, except the gun pocket is on the side......both are very comfortable for "all day" wear! Again, if you or anyone wants anything from CMP, let me know, I have to go out there sometime soon anyways! I've done it for a member on here before, I don't mind doing it again!

X2 on that
My Subcompact XD isnt bad all though, sometimes I forget its there LOL

It all depends on your frame size.....I'm a bigger guy, and the bigger gun is actually more comfortable for concealed carry than my p239. It's all in the holster you use and the style of clothes you wear!

I dont have a CCW yet, but what would you guys recommend for a Ruger P95, 9mm?

I believe it is considered a large medium frame

uncle mikes size 15 IIRC

holsters are for noobs. i have rubber bands wrapped around the grip, so it wont slide down the back of my pants when its tucked at the waste band. :) a cop showed me that trick.

After trying many different kinds, I decided on a Sidearmor Kydex IWB holster with a 15* cant. While they're not quite as comfortable as leather, they allow for any extremely smooth, quick draw (doesn't drag like leather). I also wear it in the 4-5 o'clock position on my waist, so I can easily draw and fire it with one hand, in case I'm fending off an attacker with the other. I also have a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig for use under a coat.

That right there is the dumbest thing I have ever heard and have seen once. If a cop showed you that trick he is fucking retarded. Good way to get your self killed with a home made holster.
