just picked up a sbc s10 and im having trouble with the carb. everything was just fine until last night and now im spitting fuel out of the top of the carb. its shooting out of the little tube that is in the choke horn. the carb is a 750 mechanical secondary ive tried readjusting the float and have no luck. the fuel bowl also keeps filling up no matter where the float is set. any help is greatly appreciated

Take the bowls off. The needle/seat is probably stuck. Also, how are you adjusting your bowl level? Lastly, what type of pump and regulator do you have? And what does you fuel pressure gage say?

fuel pressure is at 7 psi. its a mechanical pump, i adjusted the floats again with the engine running, and set the float to where the fuel is just dribbling from the sight plug. so far it seems to be running good so maybe i got it.

Hopefully you did. It sounds like the carb sucked some debris through it and stuck the needle. Good luck.

thanks alot guys, i drove it alot since and so far so good. but i am going to be picking up a rebuild kit and putting it on the shelf
