I've been poking around for head/valvetrain upgrades and had someone offer me:

World Roush 200 Heads, 1.7 Cobra rockers, and the valvecovers: $550.

:dontknow: What do you all think?

Sounds like a good deal.... I thought the Roush heads were adjustable though, and cobra rockers are bolt down aren't they?

its a 302 out of an 89. Stock shortblock, stock cam.

I was wondering about that too --- I thought the Roush heads were stud mount and the Cobra rockers were pedistal/bolt-down?

My bad, here it is:

-roush 200 heads
-1.72:1 Scorpion stud mount roller rockers
-ford motorsport aluminum valve covers

I guess it came off his 89 coupe that was running a stock shortblock with stock cam??? So I don't see why it would give me any issues?

you should be fine, efi or carbed motor? Not that it matters just curious.:dontknow:

For $550 you get:
-heads
-valve covers w/breathers
-1.72:1 stud mount roller rockers
And I'll throw in a set of Ford Motorsport hardened pushrods

The heads are fully outfitted. They are about ready to bolt on. They just need to be checked for compression. I'm not sure if they were damaged when my engine let go. There's no obvious damage and the piston was stuck halfway between TDC and BDC so I think they're OK. Worst case scenario: it might need new valves in one cylinder. But I doubt it.

Didn't know his motor blew until now.... Now what do you guys think? Take a gamble? ;)
