So I'm driving home last night and my car decides to shut down while I'm driving. tried to start it back up and it will crank but wont start. So I leave it and come back 2 hours later. It starts after cooling down but idles really rough and when I attempt to give it gas, it only bogs down worse and then I start to smell fuel. Any ideas to what it could be? A friend of mine said that the catalytic converter is probably clogged. Thoughts? I'm about to have it towed back to my house in a bit to take a better look.

i prolly got a new icm laying around when i bought it for my cavalier but it turned out not being the problem

its the fuel pump...crawl under the car and bang on the fuel tank with a hammer or ur fist while someone is cranking the motor...if it starts it ur fuel pump

yup replaced the fuel pump and it fired up like champ. Now to go watch football and drink some beer. Thanks for the help guys.
