Help with diablo tuner.

I traded with a fellow member for a diablo sport predator tuner on Friday. The problem is that when i attempted to install a tune on my stang the hand held tuner read " This vehicle is not licensed to run this tuner" Anybody have any ideas? Can i purchase a license?

This sounds like the problem!
The guy i got it from said it came with his car but was never used. and i have no way to get the original owner to return it to stock tune. Is there a place i could take it or send it to be reprogrammed so i can use it?

What Tuner? My chassis dyno came with a bunch of them (they were a dealer), and I have the stuff to update the ROM's. Some can only be updated @ Diablosport, some I can do.

No offense, but, you pretty much got hosed. Whatever you traded him, get back.

I just did some digging @ Diablosport. It sounds like its married to the original ECU, and it would need to be restored before it goes to another (they aint playa's)

That is what I meant in my post. They are pretty much worthless if they are already vin locked.

This could really suck! Man, I asked the member i got it from and he said it would work on my car because he never used it on his stang. I plugged it in at his house and it was beginning to let me setup a tune so i thaught everything was fine. But i was in a hurry and i didn't finish. then when i got home (ABOUT 1 1/2 - 2 hours away ) I tried to upload a tune and it gave me the crap about to license.
