Help with a turbo Dodge

I just picked up a GLH Omni with some upgraded parts on it. I am having a problem with it. The engine hesitates under boost. It won't even rev any higher once it is out if vacuum. Like it hits a wall at about 1-2 psi.

I have had a few of these cars in the past, but I don't remember much about them, and have no idea what to check first.

MAP sensor?
Thanks!

From what i remember about the turbo Dodges is if the boost is increased via a MBC the computer will flip out. You need a Mopar Performance computer to run higher boost. Try resetting the computer and/or backing down the boost.

thats what I'm thinking

If its TII you can run 15 psi i thnk without map cut, if its TI without a boost bleed i think 10 is the most.

It should not stumble and fall on its face like that..

Can you post apic of the engine unles you know if its TI or TII to get things started...

Also GHL_turbo22 on here is a fricken wizz with them things knows them better than anyone on here that i will bet on also is a stand up guy and prob will help you out...

Where in warren are you? Can you drive the car to Royal Oak? If so I can take a look at it and maybe even hook you up with a custom cal for your setup. I can build you a cal that requires no external bleeds or manual boost controllers. Everything will be controlled by the LM. You don't even need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. It sounds to me like it might even have some gremlins in the wiring...no big surprise on those cars.

It is a turbo 2 engine, with an intercooler, larger injectors, stage 2 computer, Holley throttle body, adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I picked the car up last night, and just parked it. I'll go over it today and see if I notice anything obvious.
The plugs, wires, and cap all look to be brand new. The previous owner did just replace the intake gasket, so maybe it is leaking, or he left a vacuum line unplugged or something.

I am in Warren, about 9 mile and Mound. I'll snap some pics today as well.

Thanks

It is the red one that was just on Craigslist. Do you know something that I don't? I could drive it to Royal Oak as well.

No, I don't know that car. I was just poking around craigslist one day and found it on there. I sold mine (a flat black one) about a year ago to a guy in Grand Rapids and he sold it a little while after, I never knew what happened to it after that.

If you want to bring it by sometime this weekend I can get it all straightened out for you...I love tuning these little cars. Plus it will freak the wife out to see another GLH...she hated mine...hahaha.

I miss having one... I should find one to beat around as a DD

Send me your number.

Thanks!

You don't see them too often anymore. I like 3 of them back in the early 90's. I used to knock the Oakley and bad boy club stickers off 5.0L Mustangs back then. :)

Well, so far the plugs a fouled up with carbon. Running rich. The fuel pressure is 58 psi at idle with vacuum on the regulator. It also has larger injectors from what I am told.

What color are the tops of the injectors? Does it have an adjustsble fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail? If there are bigger injectors on there with a stock fuel regulator you could be over fueling the engine. A cal change could fix that.

I checked the part number on the injectors, and they are Siemens Deka P4532176. + 20% Mopar injectors. 42lb/hr at 55 psi.
