HELP!!! need help on getting new seals in front axle on dodge 4x4.

:help: my 2001 dodge 4x4 5.9,front axle is leaking gear fluid out on passenger side. took everything out like it said but now im stuck on getting the new seal back in. its going in side ways. so if anyone has a better way of doing this please let me know. :help:

Post a picture of the seal your trying to install and the cavity your trying to shove it in. Might be able to help.
 
Did you clean out he axle real well where it slides in? Make sure you use the correct size tool to pount it in. Sometimes even an oversize socket will work as long as it it the same diameter as the seal. They can be a PITA
 
ok i got the seals in and everything is back together. i took it for a test drive and but it into 4hi and now it will not come out. i have put in in 2 low, 4 low and 4 hi to try to get it to move out of 4wheel but nothing. i think it has to do with the VAC MOTOR.

thanks i have figured it out but now it will not come out of 4hi when driving
