Well ive been having health issues for damn near 2 years now , ( started off as just having major shits all the time ) but im a guy and don't need help from anyone and ill fix myself well that's not my case lol , ive been actively trying to get help for like 1.5 years thow , and about 3-4 months ago same issues as before but now im throwing up and now my right side feels like its being stabbed with a fucking red hot iron and I shit fire water now and have no energy to do anything , I barely get threw my work days ( 10 hr days 4 days a week ) and have to call off all the time because of it ,., now from the past 2 years to present ive seen urgent care docs , hospitals , and no one could or would give me an answer , urgent care gave me shit that made me more sick and pain pills that just make me sick , hospitals took x-rays and ultra sounds and said nothing is wrong with me , last hospital visit said my gallbladder , so they checked it and of course found nothing , threw up a bunch of scary words like cancers and shit ,., well today I see a new doc and he tells me I need a HIDA scan on my gallbladder asap ( cant get one till Saturday ) hida scan checks your gallbladders functionality and makes sure its doing what its suppose to be doing , I get pumped with radio active stuff and get a ton of pics taken over a 2-3 hr process , this is new to me thow so im kinda relieved because I think finally im getting someware , but now im scared shitless because if my gallbladder is bad and they take it ive never had surgery and recovery looks like it sucks ass

before all this started I was a bit hefty , weighed around 250ish , just got a weight today of 216 , im glad that I lost weight but my doc says its not all that good because I lost it due to being sick

well that's that , felt like I needed to get that off my chest , been hiding it and putting on a fake face for almost 2 years now

have they checked for Crohns?
that's what everyone thought at 1st but I never got any solid answer to it or anything actually , seemed like once my side started fucking up that went out the window and they started leaning towards the gallbladder issue and focusing on that instead of the 1st issue I was having

Ive had similar issues for the past couple years. Shit all the time like diharea for weeks at a time. Doctors wernt very helpful then finally i was tested for Celiac/gluten intolerance. It came back positive so I cut out all Gluten. This cured me for like 3 months then it was back even though my diet was super strict. Got a throat scope done and that doctor tells me I dont have celiac but I had over production of acid. He prescribed me prilosec everyday for a year. Didnt seem to do anything. Basically i kept taking the prilosec and half of an imodium every day or every other day for the last couple years and that pretty much fixed my shitting issue. My blood work always comes back good with no deficiencies in anything. Doctor recently requested I get a colonoscopy and another throat scope though. Ive been putting it off because ive been busy but probably will call this week.

colitis is another thing but they kept telling me its hard to actually diagnose so they just kept saying IBS ( irritable bowl syndrome ) , seems like every time something like this goes on they just sweep it under a rug and call it IBS , theres about 1 billion cases of being false diagnosed with IBS and it was something more major

My girlfriend had her gallbladder out like 8 years ago and said it wasn't too bad pain and recovery wise. Only problem she has now is that certain foods upset her stomach and in a hurry. Although once you know which ones and can avoid them it's not a problem.

My wife had persistent "stomach pain" for years in college and her doctors thought it was an ulcer. After we got married and she moved to Michigan her new doc sent her to a gastro-doc and he figured out that it was her galbladder so he removed it. He made three little tiny holes and pulled it out. Recovery was easier than her c-sections because the incisions were so small. She's had no pain or any issues since the day it was taken out 12 years ago. If that's your issue, don't sweat it. It's a simple procedure to remove an unnecessary organ. Good luck.

seems similar , I was prescribed Prilosec to but it actually made it worse so I stopped taking it , I kept an Imodium on me and took 1 every day for about 1.5 years then the doc says to stop because its doing more bad then good

another thing with me was every time they tried something new ( different med , try eating this or that , don't eat that ) id be fine and not have any issues for about a week or 2 then it was all back again

I had gallbladder issues a few years ago. My symptoms were much different than yours. Have you been tested for Celiac?

About the gallbladder experience, the nuclear medicine test is prep (fasting and flush), IV, and laying on a table. If it comes out, it's an outpatient surgery. You'll have to fast and flush, you'll be knocked out, and you'll be in the hospital about four hours. Recovery isn't too bad. The worst part wasn't being able to wear jeans for at least a week until the incision below the belly button healed. After that everybody seems to have different experiences about how their bodies adjusted. Some can't eat certain foods or spices, and usually the digestive cycle is faster.

Is she on medication for the rest of her life or can you function without it normally? I've had issues here and there but have been watching diet more lately.

Your Gallbladder produces bile to help out the liver. If it is removed, your liver basically takes over. No lifetime meds as a matter of fact, no meds at all. It is pretty much instant relief once it is out...Ahhhhh, all of the pressure and pain is gone....I've had mine removed..

I lived with uclerative colitis for about 15 years, until it turned into colon cancer. I had to go to the hospital several times a year due to just the colitis. It starts out that you go to the bathroom all of the time and you can't keep anything down. Once you get so dehydrated, you begin throwing everything up and can't even keep water down. That's when you go to the hospital and as soon as they put the IV in you, you begin to feel better. Then, since you would be on 'colon rest' nothing by mouth. You get an IV if this milk shake looking stuff with about 8,000 calories and loaded with antibiotcs and massive doses of steroids.....

Sulfer drugs and steroids will control both Crohns and Colitis. The simple difference between the two is that colitis ulcers are limited to your colon and Crohns can happen anywhere along your digestive tract...

The steroids worked within a day or teo for me, when I first got colitis. The Sulpher drugs are more of a daily maintenence drug. The steroids should be stopped, if possible...

This is off the top of my head...I know a lot more about colitis and everything associated with the disease.........Your symptoms sound like crohns/colitis and you need to see a specialist in the field. From past experience, a lot of family doctors seem to overlook the problem and it is more common than you think. Dr. Jason Bodzin is on the westside who I began seeing, but since I live in north Troy, I bagan seeing another specialist closer to me.

PM me if you have any questions....Gary

If it's gall bladder removal the surgery is very minor. I built a stone retaining wall in front of my house the day after I had the surgery. I think my cousin who is alot tougher than me played hockey later the same day as his surgery.

Diverticulitis :Patients often present with the classic triad of left lower quadrant pain, fever, and leukocytosis (an elevation of the white cell count in blood tests). Patients may also complain of nausea or diarrhea; others may be constipated.
Less commonly, an individual with diverticulitis may present with right-sided abdominal pain. This may be due to the less prevalent right-sided diverticula or a very redundant sigmoid colon. Some patients report bleeding from the rectum...
