Heads up. Undercover police texting crackdown

they could've made a lot of revenue from the e.b 696 gawkers. 30-35 mph on the freeway......

someone was recording me today while they were driving behind me on I75... Didnt make much sense..i had the cruise set at 66 in a 65...not on the phone.. I waved at them when i exited, they panned around to me while still recording.. I see a LOT while driving..

Last week a girl on 696 was on her phone while her front wheel was about to remove itself in 30mph traffic. lug nuts were coming off, wheel was flopping all over. I told her to stop, its going to come off.. She said, "im on the phone with someone about it"... She then sped up to 70+, the wheel stopped wobbling, until i couldnt see her anymore.....then i see a lot of brake lights and a 3 wheeled green focus on the shoulder.. WTF!??!? She maybe thought OnStar could fix her car? Or maybe a phone mechanic!?!

Then i saw mountain bike cops riding around looking at drivers...

a commercial vehicle, no....its not the first time. I see people doing wierd stuff more than a few times a month. Ive had people pass me on the shoulder.. In detroit people pass me on the sidewalk... I see truckers run each other OFF of the highway because they want to do 1 mph more than the person in front of them. I seen a focus ST brake check a church van off of 696 because the church van was going 70 in the fast lane and then brake checked them again in the middle lane until I actually passed both of them because now they were both going 30mph......then they sped up past me...lol

I seen a head on collision at an intersection. Girl on her phone ran a light and hit the oncoming "turn lane" cars.. I checked on her and she looked around the cab and said...."my water bottle was under my brake pedal..." I could hear her abs working just before impact....lol she literally blamed the first thing she looked at in the cab... one of those giant, pink, fliptop workout water bottles...

They were probably recording Denny because they didn't see a phone in his hand & was not able to wrap there mind around it, then thought it was suspicious... Suspicious enough to record the situation to report him to authorities... :D

Everyone has a camera on their phone and always think they have something when they start recording.

It's about time. Seems like damn near everybody is driving with their phone in their hand.

Having a phone in my hand isn't distracting and doesn't mean I'm doing something nefarious like texting.

I often have a coin in my hand that I twirl between my fingers. Some people chew gum. Do we need two new laws to prevent this? <rolleyes>

My workplace (GM) has a "No texting and walking" policy anywhere on company grounds. We were joking that next they will tie a strap around the top of our heads to keep us from looking down while we walk.

There are laws already for improper lane usage, speeding, etc, etc.
If they really want to help traffic flow and save lives perhaps summary execution of passing lane dwellers.
