i have ported gt-40s & ported dart windsor jrs
are the darts any better than the gt-40s?
the gt-40s are on the car now.
stock roller 302 lower end
trickflow stage 1 hyd roller 275/279 499/510
vic jr intake
650 holley
c-4 4000 stall
4.10 gear 28in tire
200 shot nos
car went 11.35@115 with 1 5/8 shorty header small exhaust
since have changed to 1 3/4 long tubes 3in x-pipe& bullits

would the car go faster with the darts???

you have to do alot of work to the jr's on the exhaust side, the intake works good with just a clean up.

That blue car of my buddies has my old jr's on it that have a decent amount of work done to them, I bought them done up and had Greg do some clean up on them for me. You know what that car ran ballpark on motor so... I'll say it'll run way better than the 40's

Throw that trick flow pile in the trash and get a real cam.

what happen to the MPH 11.35 115.its not right for 11.35 on spray?

how much spray? 60ft is not good on spray that looks like motor 60ft

200 shot, but i found later for some reason the carb jetting was bigger in front barrels then back, fixed that and changed headers and ezhaust, maybee it will perform differntly, but i may change the heads too.

That's a pretty broad statement, how did you come to that conclusion? I didn't read anywhere what was done to the suspension on the car? If the car has stock suspension parts I think he's doing pretty well. The only thing I read was the car had a 4.10 gear and a 28" tire on it. Very few street oriented cars pull optimal 60' times at the track.

car has mega bite jrs & ssm uppers drag shocks, ebach springs ,air bag.
but what im trying to find out is are the dart windsor jr heads better then my gt-40s-will the help me or not?

No way to know the answer without knowing more about the heads. Do you have the flow sheets of the heads, do you know the chamber size, do you know the port volume for the intake and exhaust runners, are the heads using the stock valve sizes for those heads?

i have seen a few people go in the tens on spray with gt 40's so it can go fast if you have the time to make your combo work. i have gone 9.80 on a stock short block with dart jrs that were ported by my friend rusty(he works at dart) it did have a soild roller 750 carb 200 shot 1 3/4 long tubes(mac) 3 inch exu that i did, 3500 stall on spray, 4.56 rear gear and 28x10's and it weigh 2980 with me in the car... went 13.00 on motor. the cam was picked right out the comp cam catalog the smallest soild roller in the book. i only remeber the lift 613. the car 60ft was 1.30.
my old hatch went 10.20 on spray with dart jrs with a hyd roller but it was a custom grind 232 242 dur@50 575 lift thats all i can remember on that cam. the heads on that were not fully ported. Impastato race engines did them in 1992 and that went 12.50 and 10.90 on spray. i slowed it down on motor to faster on spray. this car was 3100 with me in it. 4.10 28x10's and a 4000 stall on spray.

the car has to hook and the cam you run in your motor should be picked out by the person that ported the heads and to fit your needs.
