well, I found a deal on a lower, so I jumped on it. I knew I had some other stuff laying around in the closet, so I started piecing it together, and whaddya know, I was able to put together a complete lower (minus spring/buffer) with spares I had laying around.

So now what? I'm thinking dedicated .22LR upper for cheap practicing.

A complete lower you mean? Buy another 5.56 upper. Two AR's is one and one is none.

This thread needs more FDE and black gun goodness. MOAR MOAR MOAR

Yep. I went with the exact same one but all black on my build. After seeing the fit, finish, and the quality of their work I won't be buying anything else for a while. BCM makes some nice stuff.

You can get one stripped for $475. Just add a BCG, CH, and a magpul MOE handgaurd.

Maybe a lightly used upper for a great price?

Also please be advised:
As I explained to Justin at the range, a complete lower without an ambi selector switch IS NOT a complete lower. Please consider us lefties as we're only one huge event away from the zombie Apocalypse, and you'll need us as much as we'll need you :)
