im running a set of gt40p heads, with a set of dual valve springs. i dont know what kinda springs they are, height of them, seat pressure or anything like that. what i do know tho is that they worked really good for about a weeks worth after i put them in, then they started letting the valves float around 6300. i have pulled two valves threw the keepers now also, without dropping a valve luckly.

the valve springs i have installed on these heads came off a set of e7 heads. i've been surfing the web looking at alot of stuff about these heads and found out that the valve springs on the gt40p heads are different, as far as installed height. the e7 springs are taller.
i think these springs may of wore out because of being too tall, and possiably even coil binding.
does anyone on here run these heads, with after market valve springs, and have any pointers for me in the right direction of getting this combo to start working for me, with out the chance of breaking my motor?

any help or references to someone who may be able to help would be appreciated.

Determine what cam you have ( stock or aftermarket ) and order the correct spring, retainers, and locks for that head and camshaft.
