Grinding sound?

There is a grinding sound that has recently developed on my 86 ranger. When i give it more than 1/4 throttle i can hear it. It sounds as if something is grinding/rubbing against something and i can feel it in the gas pedal. It is an auto trans so its not a syncro type problem. Any ideas?

Info: 86 ranger 289 motor C4 trans.

Where does the noise seem to be coming from? Front, back, left, right?

double check your pullys, my mustang did this and it was the power steering clutch pully

I found out it was the driveshaft rubbing the drivesshaft loop
