Greatest Muscle Car of all time?

If i had to choose ONE "Muscle Car" that i have always liked id have to say GNX.

IT looks Bad To the Bone and there is no denying it. The previous pic of that GNX makes me want to sell some of my lesser used organs.

Number 2 is for sure a Belvedere (sp?) with a Hemi but only the ones that were set up for drag racing, with the aluminum door skins, hood, and just about everything. if i remember correctly that BIG ass car was below 3200 lbs. thats freaking nuts.

Yenko is a copo

actually the copo was available to any dealership from chevrolet however the true don yenko camaros were differently equipped than the factory copo cars, you could order your yenko with various aftermarket goodies that went beyond what the copo had on it...many chevy dealerships sold copos, but a yenko camaro was gone over by donny himself

Gonna def have to say the best is a gn/gnx; although I like em in sheeps clothing, t-type ftw. Gotta love fact that it knocked down mid 20's mpg, and still ran mid to low 14's. or mid-high 13's in a gnx. thats good enough to beat up on at least 85-90% of 60's/70's iron.

oldschool type musclecar looks with a "modern" powerplant. for its day. and the pricetag wasn't that outrageous.

as for true old muscle, T-bolts were the shizzo too. and just about anything with a hemi.

What year make and model muscle car do you think is the single best of all time and explain why?

My pick is the 64 1/2 Mustang. Because that is when the legend was born!!!
Im a ford man but I have to say GTO just because she started the muscle car era. They classified that car as the first muscle car ever produced and everyone else followed. I watched that last week on speed.

427 Comet 202

OOOO...good call. I saw one in Milwaukee at the Goodguys there last year. Very cool, very rare car.

I have to go with the 69 Torino Talladega though. Without it, the Daytona and Superbird never would have come along. It dominated before them and even in the presence of the Daytona. It started the end of crazy inovation by the manufacturers for NASCAR.

69 yenko nova, on slicks 10.90's I last read that no other show room car has ever to date dipped into the 10's !!!???

Mopar and GM were the bad ass muscle cars. Ford had some cool stuff, but they GM and Mopar owned the streets. I did like the Comets and Fairlanes

*did I just type that?*

how the hell is a yenko nova a factory car? If we are counting dealer cars then lets bring in the 68 hemi darts tuned by ronnie sox and sold throught mr norms, for get 10s they went 8s

I said "show room" car! Don Yenko (bless his soul) had the 396c.i. cars converted, they were'nt Central Office Production Order cars like the almighty ZL1 but you could walk in the show room and drive it out with a legit build sheet!

The yenko copo camaro was 9737 which was sports car conversion in 68. 69 had both 9737 AND 9561 . 9561 was the 427/425hp "L-72" engine installed right from the factory.

The 69 chevvele also had the 427 installed with the 9562 copo

The nova with the factory installed 350 lt1 was copo 9010 and offered in 70.
