Gotta catch a rabbit in my yard, suggestions?

There's a rabbit in my yard that's eating everything I plant, my perennials, my sunflowers, etc. I just want to relocate it, not kill it. What should I use for bait in the live trap? Carrots and lettuce haven't been working.

We have a nice Trap up North John. My Dad is talking about heading up there maybe this week. I could have him bring it home if you need.

Want me to come over and shoot it? Your neighbors will think you're using a staple gun ;)

My dog would handle it easily. But on a more non funny Side. Lettuce rabbits go ape shit for it cabbage works well too

Call your local humane society, they usually have a live trap you can rent/borrow. Otherwise I can drop off my outdoor cat, she brought me three rabbits, two shrews, and a rat in the last two weeks. It looks like two mice and a bird were also killed and eaten on my front porch in the last week.

My dog's getting old and blind. She tries, but just ain't got it anymore. I'll try bananas & apples since the lettuce and carrots aren't working.

Have your dad grab that trap, Matt. Two will be better than one.

Borrow one of these. Maybe Matt will let you use Bennett.

The number 2 cause of migratory songbird decline in North America is due to outdoor cats. Kind of a sad statistic when you think about it.

You do realize rabbits reproduce like.... well like rabbits.
You probably have 50 living near your home (you are providing them with a constant supply of food... might as well put out a water dish while your at it.. lol).
Might want to try to use fencing.. other forms of control (buy a pet owl) ... squirrels can be quite destructive too...

x2. I don't really understand when people put food outside without protection and get frustrated when animals eat it?!?

I've never really had any problems before this one. I'm pretty sure it's the same one I keep seeing because it has distinctive markings and it doesn't seem to be too afraid of people. I might try the plastic owl, that's a good suggestion. Thanks
