This is the kit I had on my old Trans Am. Honestly am even more satisfied I got rid of the car when I did now as there are so many people with turbo's failing now from them being "knock-offs." The story behind APS is very interesting from out-sourcing, fake identity, etc. Pretty crazy. I got out of my kit when they were still in the good and before I had any issues with it. Had I not I might have been facing a blown turbo or two with no company to turn to and a kit hard to sell. Pretty crazy. Looking for a good read, check it out!

But you have to add that the turbos were advertised as genuine 20G's and ended up being chinese knock offs :\

What was it this time?

Inferior metallurgy?
Porous castings?
Out of spec machine tolerances?

All of the above?

Not suprised. I do feel sorry for all those that are having problems. That sucks. Its ok though, as we've learned in the past the owners can always start a mail order business in a few months under a different, stupid sounding name and people will continue to buy.

I think all of the above :) You guys need to remember that APS is also Dave Inall of Incon fame and we ran him right out of the country LOL!

I was going to say isn't the same guy from Incon involved, people really are stupid for throwing more money at company he was involved with.
 
It sounds like, buy the kit, immediately sell the turbos on eBay as what you bought them as and then upgrade.
