good bang for your buck road race/street tires?

I need to get a new set of tires for the 18's on my camaro since its lowered and they don't fit now. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations on a good tire that can be used on the street and will handle a road race track well?

What widths?

Find a tire with a 200 treadwear those are pretty sticky. I have these for the M3.

probably a 235/35/18 front and a 275/35/18 rear or something close to it

toyo r888's are pretty sticky and are a road race style tire.

Pretty happy with my Nitto 555's that I picked up from RyeLou. It also depends on your price range for "bang for your buck" is. I had Sumitomo HTRZ's before, which were less than $100 for a 315/35...I could break the rear loose easily. Was actually kinda scared to drive on those.

I'll vouch for the Nitto's, they hook well in James's vert, and a guy at work has them on his cobra and like them alot.

I've had great results with General Exclaim UHP's. Sticky, but decent wear on the street. And they're CHEAP!!
Tirerack has 'em.

I also hear that the Kumho ecsta's work well, and Toyo has a few tires that look like they would work good.
