Looking to LS swap my 48 chevy truck and wanted to gauge interest in the big block and turbo 400 that has been powering it since the merlin came out for a bigger build, I sold that a while back too and decided I really want to be able to drive this thing instead of the wanna-be race truck it is trying to be...When I built the truck almost ten years ago everyone said I would never be able to cram a BB in there so I got the biggest one I could and when I wanted to go bigger the 496 took the merlin's place for a while and never came back out...
Engine-
-Built by Paul's High Performance in Jackson
-496 chevy big block 4-bolt main
-Scat crankshaft
-Forged I-beam rods
-Forged pistons (originally had probes in it but php rebuilt motor and only reused the crank so idk what are in it now)
-Melling high volume oil pump
-Edelbrock Performer RPM heads
-Harland Sharp Roller Rockers
-PHP custom cam
-Performer RPM intake
-Fluidamper 8" external balance
-MSD billet distributor
-MSD 8.8 wires
-Billet aluminum valve covers (paid like 500 for those f*ckers)
-Ultra Light Mini Starter (dont remember what tooth but it obviously starts lol)
Trans-
-Originally a Monster Motorsports built turbo 400 (cost me 1000 bucks) then it was rebuilt by PHP for another 500 two years ago
-2000 stall converter
-Turbo 400 chrome converter cover
Will include 6al box and in cab adjustable timing control for right price, will also throw in the shorty Hedman headers as well...
I will not split up the trans unless the motor sells first and I am looking to sell the entire drivetrain. motor is at a 9.0-1ish compression so there is plenty of room to work or spray on. The only thing that I cant include to make this bolt in and go is a carb (has a proform 950 on it now and made 500/550 at the crank when PHP had it dynoed)
I am willing to trade for a lsx drivetrain (aluminum block, no truck stuff), would prefer t-56 but 4l60 would be fine too
Like i said I dont know what it is worth but I know what I have into it and there is 5500 from summit for the LB when I bought the crate motor and another 5000 into it from PHP when I had it redone, not including the trans. For someone who might have a trade I know we will both be happy.
I also have a two built stock displacement windsors (ill sell either, one had ported e7s and the other has gt-40s) and 393 cleveland I need to get rid of and a c4 trans.
I'll try to get pics over thanksgiving if anyone is interested.
