anyone in or around westland , need a gas line ran from the house to the garage or if anyone knows a certified gas guy who wants to make some money on the side let me know

Just get some black pipe and a pipe threader and get to it yourself. There should be a ball valve near the hot water tank or furnace so you can open up the existing system there.

It is not as simple as that. You will most likely end up tying into the line at the meter (outside already) and running the line in a trench to the garage. 18" deep, and sized properly for the distance. Expect to pay around $800 depending on the distance to a professional. Probably close to double to a phone book company.
