FYI- Cheap Corvette wheels/tires auction

Why would they re-mount the tires after taking the TPMS sensors out and leaving the valve stem hole open?

All of these on-line auctions are not bad.

I found a few that are not real big yet &
the prices are good. I bought a Suburban
from Maryland last week that is rust-free.

The same county I bought my Suburban from
just called me and said the winner of a nice Tahoe
defaulted and they offered it to me.

It is rare that a municipality will negotiate on a
post-auction price / vehicle - but they did & I got
the Tahoe for $500 less than the winning bid!

You don't have to take the tire off to take out the TPMS, you just push the bead of the tire in where the sensor is. After you remove it you let the tire go back. You should just toss a normal stem in tho lol.

That makes sense, it seems like they could have spend the 25 cents to put a valve stem in.

Did you go to the Braun and Helmer Auction on Carpenter Rd on St. Patricks day this year? People were paying more than retail on most things. The one item I was there for went about 25% over retail.

No, I did not attend that one. B & H is truly hit or miss!

I have been attending their auctions for 27+ years.
I have wasted a full day many times attending their
auctions.......other times I purchased some of the
best deals I've ever scored from their auctions.

I have learned to be very selective of which ones
of theirs I go to these days.

Deals are still out there. They don't normally fall in
ones lap, it takes a lot of work & well, its always
"hit or miss".

My credo has always been, "better to go home with my
pocket full of penny's, than to buy something wrong".
