Speaking of which...I did look for a bare 4l80e case for you...I was sure I hads several but I must have cashed them in already...Ill keep looking...I try to keep al my empty cases in one spot but occasionally they get put some where they don't belong.

Mmmmmm Guinness It always makes things better!
Just bolt it up with the other 3 holes. It will be fine - LOL

Glad to hear that can be fixed.

Matt my brother has a weld shop on the border of melvindale and allen park he could fix it for about 40 dollars if ure interested shoot me a pm and ill set it up

there is a small shop just south of the groesbeck/schoenherr intersection on southbound groesbeck that can do it... had a friend snap off a couple tabs on his motorcycle frame and after he got it back it was stronger than before it broke... but if someone on here can do it i think they will give you a better deal

I could definitely do it, but I know I'm a ways away. And I don't know that it would be less than the 40 bucks that other guy mentioned :dontknow:

I talked to Ridings, he built the trans for me and told me to bring it on over after work. Hes got enough weld equipment to get the job done id assume

They pry deal with broken tabs, cracked cases, and messed up screw holes a lot.

The aluminum is most likely A356, I've welded it before and it's not bad if the aluminum is newer and hasn't had a chance to soak up oils and what not. You need a SERIOUS welder to handle that thickness of aluminum though.

If mike can't do it I have a block I can fixture it with and I have a machine that can weld cast that thick with no problem.
