I saved a life today. I was driving to work this am, and was turning onto the street my buidling is on, when I noticed a kitten dart under a vehicle that was sitting in the turn lane waiting to turn left. I stopped, rolled down my window and told the guy to stop (he was inching forward), there was a kitten under his car. He looked at me weird and said that he didn't have a kitten. I tell him that its under his car. We both get out of our vehicles and the kitten darts under my car now. I can hear it meowing, so I called for it and it came right to me. I picked him up and he was purring and super friendly, but deathly skinny. I told the guy I could handle it from there, and thanks for stopping - I didn't want the kitten to get squashed. He left and I'm stuck not knowing what to do with this kitten in need, considering I had to be to work in a few mins. The Midland County Animal shelter is on the same road as my building, but their demeanor is horrible and they gas unwanted animals - not an option for this lil' guy. So, I call my mom and see if she can take him to her house until I could pick him up after work. He downed some water and bread before she got there, the bread quieted him down a bit. He must have been starving. I can't wait to get out of work and introduce him to his new siblings!
Any ideas on names? He's going to the vet asap and they'll need one...
