Just installed a BG220 fuel pump in my firebird, with a stock tank that is sumped. This pump has the external adjustable bypass on it, I ran the -8 line from the bypass to the other side of my sump, is this ok to do? And bypass psi is at 15. I dont really have anywhere else to put it on the stock tank ya know.
Also, my fuel pressure, drop's a good 4 punds under full acceleration, it did this before with my old pump too(dead head system), i have no idea what is causing this... I wouldnt think the bypass to the sump would not cause this. Could it be a bad regulator? I never had one go bad before....
And finally is it normal for the fuel pump to get hot to the touch after a half hour or more of street driving?
