Fuel hose question

I am running new fuel lines in my 87 4cyl to 302 swap project on a very tight budget. I am replacing the return rubber hose from the sending unit to the steel line. I was looking around for 1/4" fuel injection hose went to 4 different places and everyone was out. so I found 1/4" fuel hose which is rated at up to 35 PSI. and the fuel hose is .25 the cost of fuel injection hose. I had read somewhere that the return line has little if any pressure. Is this true? I just want to make sure I am running a safe set up.

I haven't, but I don't want to break the bank on something if it's not necessary. if regular fuel line is sufficient than I am good with what I have, I just want to make sure that what I have will work on the return line. I do have fuel injector hose on the feed line. just don't think it's necessary on the return. So I am just trying to verify that the return line has little to no pressure.

generally, yes, there is little to no pressure in the return, as pressure is dependant on volume and restriction

you going to run a stock fuel pump? then there will likely be no measurable pressure in the return line

Cool. Thanks again Dave.
