Description found online:

A Street seat is very unique. You need it to play many different roles. It has to be the comfortable cruising throne where you'll kick down the miles on your way from point A to B at the same time it has to support you the way you want a sport seat to when exploring your favorite section of paved tarmac (or unpaved if that suits your fancy). It has to do all of this while still allowing you to use a stock 3 point harness as well as being easy to get in and out of.

The Speed from Recaro seems to do all of these things, more supportive than any of the other street seats we've found this side of the Cobra Misano, it's also half the price of the Misano. Another bonus is all the different options when it comes to upholstery. You can definately find a color combo to fit your taste and interior. If you don't see what you want, custom fabrics are available on request, as well as using customer supplied fabrics. It's never been easier to match your car's interior!

This seat allows you to use your stock 3 point harness or any 4 point Schroth restraint. The pass-through in the headrest for the harnesses is wide enough for 3" webbing, and the seat is designed in such a way that the bottom bolsters do not hinder use of any lap belt type. If you're trying to use this seat with a sub-strap, you need to look for the Speed 5 Point seat. This has the provision for a sub-strap.

For those of you with 2-door cars, you'll be relieved to know that this seat has a release on both sides for convenience. You can tilt the seat forward from either side. It features a recline adjuster knob on both sides.

Tracks and bases: If you have general fab skills you can use your existing (stock) seat bases......(that is what I did in my EVO and in my Explorer) But if not, You can purchase bases that bolt directly into your specific vehicle and then sliders (seat tracks) that bolt between the base and the seat.

Yes, Detroit Speed Shops can get some for you or look online.

As far as weight I would guess in the 30lbs range......I can weigh them tonight.

I forgot to mention that as of last week the White RECARO is now black...(I'll post pictures later) the white stood out too much an I wanted it to be more subtle.......

$800 OBO.

Matt

In general aftermarket seats will fit in any car that you can fab or purchase brackets for...

As an example these seats where originally purchased and installed in a 1977 Porsche 911 (read small interior) before they were in the EVO. I don't think the T/A would be an issue.
