I have for sale (possible trade) a 1999 Pontiac Firebird Formula.
i purchased this car a little over a month ago, with plans of turboing it, and making a fun street cruiser, while my other turbo car was still in pieces. i have come across an opportunity, and need this cash freed up, so the car has to go.
the car has 115,000 on the odometer, HOWEVER it has 3.73 gears in it, and hasnt been calibrated, so im not positive of the actual mileage, but it is LESS than 115k. the transmission and converter have less than 1,000 miles on them, and work perfectly. the trans shifts very clean and firm.
the engine makes no noises, no lifter ticks, no other valvetrain noises, no piston slap what so ever etc. this car runs very very well. it has long tube headers, custom dual exhaust with bullets dumped at the rear axle, it sounds good WOT. but that doesnt really mean much because this car comes with a turbo kit, and if you turbo it you will obviously be changing the exhaust.
the car has chrome C5 Zo6 wheels on it, they are in great shape. the brakes are in good shape, they dont make any noises.
the interior is about a 8 out of 10, reason being is there is a small (and i mean small) tear on the drivers side seat, that could be repaired.
paint is also about an 8 out of 10. it was pretty dirty when i bought it, all i did was wax it and it looked 10 times better. if you took the time to wheel it etc it would look just about flawless.
mechanically, as mentioned there is nothing at all wrong with this car. starts every time, drives down the road without missing a beat, all the lights work, both windows work (also comes with one new window motor. NIB) etc. everything works as it should. no surprises.
i have in my possession a folder with receipts for parts and maintenance done to this car from the previous owner. to be honest i havent looked through it too much, but its well documented.
The turbo kit: brand new in the box Huron Speed Products turbo kit, it is the most complete kit sold by huron speed. hot side, cold side, WG BOV, intercooler with brackets, alt relocation bracket, all clamps and couplers, etc. you will just need to buy a set of truck manifolds, a fuel pump (can be included for extra $) and some injectors. and then a tune and you are making boost. here is a link to the turbo kit.
