Chris, if you're going to be home this weekend I'd like to come by and check it out. I want to see if it's any different than my copy.

Yeahh...ill be home!

Prolly no different than your copy im guessing.

I just think im outgrowing the lens a bit.

Time for a 17-40L.....yeah its f/4 but i don't think the one stop difference will effect my pics all to much anyways. Plus, they go for amazing prices used! Either that, or like i said the Tamron 17-50....

Leaning towards the L though...

If you like it better we could just trade lenses i wouldn't care, and ill just sell yours or something..haha

Very nice shots for such a modest lens. One of my buddies let me use his 50mm f/1.2L the other night... Wow.. I might do the f/1.4L though as it saves a grand.. The 24/105 is my normal all-purpose walking-around type lens, but the 50 is great for shooting up close in low light..

Good luck on the sale..

Chris, go with the L lens over the Tamron. you wont regret it.

I agree fully...

My next lens purchase will be the 17-40L

Sures its not a 2.8...but like i said, that one stop difference isnt something that worrys be at all. Nothing a little bump in ISO or a flash wont fix for a low light situation...

I think ill love it! If i dont, they hold value real well and i can just sell it for the same amount i will pay for it! haha

.Chris.
