Front spring instalation?

I have an 85 fox hatchback I am switching the stock front springs in it. I was wondering if there was a trick to getting it in place? Or do I have to get a tool to compress the spring? Any help would be appreciated. There being replaced with a set of eibachs.

The eibachs should be shorter than your stock springs. I can push mine in with a crow bar with very little effort, but I'm running no iso's also.

There usually isn't room to get a spring compressor in a fox, they used to make a special one for these cars if i recall. I usually just put them in teh bottom spring cup and hold it with a pry bar while jacking up the lower controll arm. Stand aside though. there's enough evergy there to remove a limb.
