Friends/acquaintances of Mike Fortuna, aka. Tuna

Roadrage

Easily Irritated
I just wanted to let everyone know that Mike Fortuna is now in hospice care. His liver has shut down and other organs are beginning to fail. His condition is very grave. If you call him, please stay positive, hes not ready to give up. For those of you that dont know Mike, he is a 36 year old father of 4. 16, 11 and 2 year old boys, and a 7 year old girl. He was a mechanic at APE, worked at Vector Motorsports on occasion, and most recently at Fab-Jet. Hes been fighting medullary carcinoma for a few years now. Was always helping people with car issues and anything else he was capable of. Hes a quiet guy, many of you may have met him and don't know it. Please send him and his family good thoughts, prayers, whatever you do

Wow, 36 is way too young. Hospice isn't a death sentence tho. Positive thoughts for him and his family. I've never met him, but always heard nice things about him.

For those of you who don't know who Mike is, he was a big part of the precursor/creation of MM. Back in the old days (when we actually used dial up to access the internet) www.camaroz28.com mi region was where everyone talked/planned/met up. Hoping for a miracle, Mike is definately a great guy.

Prayers sent - I havent seen in a years :( - just a all around awesome guy. Lifes unfair sometimes it really is. Keep fighting Mike !!!

Wow...this was not the news I was expecting to hear this morning when I opened an motown link in my email. Tuna is one of those people that genuinely has a heart of gold. Would go out of his way to help anybody and everybody and was an extremely likeable guy. He's just TUNA.

I had the good fortune to work with him for two years at APE and while the circumstances weren't always the best Tuna made the best of it and did so with a smile. I remember he used to throw shit at me when I was on the block hone because I would get bored and start humming and he could hear it over the hone. He never could figure out the songs, and with my tone deaf ass who could blame him.

One thing I know of Tuna is that he is not a quiter by any means. Keep pushing to get well with everything you've got my friend. Take care of yourself. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sad to hear, never met him but this is never news I would like to hear about anyone in the community. Prayers go out to him and the family, keep the fight going!

Terrible news, our prayers are with Mike and his family. Hopefully God will find a way to heal him. We need more guys like TUNA in this F'd up world today.

George

I've only met him once and he seemed like a nice guy. Way too young to be going through this.
