Freeze plug shooting out

So my brother in-law builds a badass 514 stroker for his truck. Takes it out and at about 6500 rpms a freeze plug shoots out! Puts new one back in and secures it and a few days later one on the other side shoots out at 6500-7,000 rpms.

WTF?

Why is this happening?

It sounds like the fit isn't quite right on that hole.
Or it's building an extreme amount of pressure in the cooling system.

They make a thin lip (cheapo, Auto Zone, Advance ect...) and a thick/wide lip
The thin lip ones dont seat very well and will pop out, This happened to my brother on a 501 BBF, put the thick lip in and never happened again

them taps are $150 and up i beleive. but there was a place that rented them and sold the kits. pay up front, return in good shape and they refund the tap rental monies
