Fox wont start after i put new cap and rotor in

Puff of air eh? That reecks of technical data.

So did you turn the motor to tdc? Then drop the dist, and start the plugs on the correct terminal?

I'm guessing you don't know what I'm talking about. And that's the problem your having. No one in your garage knows where the timing is set

LOL!! No mention of timing marks anywhere in this thread. Interesting.
I had a car giving me fits once. The damper outer ring slipped about 50 degrees on me.

GO BACK TO THE BASIC MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. The "puff of air" and drop the distributor method is not getting it done. If you are sure the firing order and timing is OK, and you are hearing bad noises, get the valve covers off and investigate!

Thank you everyone for all your input! problem solved. After getting it running,The nasty knocking noise was after my oil pump shaft fell into the oil pan. Put a new one of those in, timed her up and shes good as new!

How did you get the old oil pump shaft out?

Lmao I hope everyone in this thread realized after the 5h post that this dude is jerking everyone's chain, I doubt he even owns a car and this whole thread was bullshit to just f*ck with everyone.

Change the Flux capacitor already!
