fox mustang with a/c heater core

Doing the heater core on '87 mustang with A/C. This has got to be the most frustrating job I've ever done on a car. The person responsible for this design needs to be executed. I have done heater cores before and this one takes the cake for idiocy of design. Not the box itself, just getting to it!

cant be too bad. just about every car out now has to have the IP removed to get to the hvac

I think it's just that there are seems like at least 100 screws you have to take out to get the dash out. This car is from the era before they tried to reduce the number of parts needed.

Yeah, it isn't a fun project. I don't remember there being that many fasteners though.
