Fox body suspension Issue?

Long story short, when I get into the throttle car goes right, when I let out it straightens back out or goes to left.

Car has SSM lowers, Eibach drag springs with bag, and coilovers in front. I did all the suspension at once so its hard telling what it could be. Im wondering if it has something to do with the SSM bars being out of whack. They have the bracket that bolts to the original mounting location on the axle. Could they be moving around causing my car to get out of shape?

Or is this just something to expect with the modified suspension? Im half tempted to ditch the southsides but dont know if that may be causing the problem or if its the coilovers, or the airbag. :banghead:

are the lowers adjustable? are the bushings worn or are they heim.
I worked on a mustang awhile ago that was going right under throttle. the front lca on the right was toast

The southsides are solid mount. I'm talking about the rears, sorry i didnt specify. I never really checked the front control arms, they are stock but the car only has 40k miles on it I would assume the bushings are still in good shape. The rear lower control arms bolt to the axle with 2 plates that bolt to the stock mount that locates the control arm lower then the factory ones. The plates have alignment pins that are supposed to butt against the axle bracket. You are supposed to either drill out and bolt the plates to the axle or weld them. Being that the drum is really close to the outer tab I could only drill and bolt the inner plate. I figured that would be enough to keep them from moving. I really dont want to weld them in case I decide to change to a different arm.

Do you have a rear swaybar? Don't the southside lowers have those tabs (or whatever they're called) that have to be welded? I had the same ones and had them welded. You're are going to need a rearswaybar (stock or otherwise.

Yeah you can bolt or weld them. I do have a rear swaybar on it

Is the rearend in the car square? I'd make sure nothing is loose and everything is lined up. How were the torque boxes? None of the holes were oblong, etc. Is there any noise coming from there when you get on it?

Car is solid, torque boxes are like new. I dont hear any noises, but it almost does feel like the rear end is shifting or something. The holes werent oblonged or anything and I torqued all the control arm bolts when the suspension was loaded

Or just go pick up some TeamZ lowers ;) Not a big fan of the SSM's that or get some mega bite jr's.

I dont feel paying 300 for a set of megabytes, and the team z's are either solid mount or non adjustable. Atleast I get some adjustment out of the ssm. The southsides do work good, just have to make sure your torque boxes are reinforced.

Do yourself a favor and look into the TeamZmotorsports suspension components. There are many cars with TeamZ components with 60ft times in the 1.20's.

Its a street car that isnt raced. It might see the track once or twice a year, but just for fun. Not looking to cut the best 60' times. The ones I have will get the job done... After I weld the brackets

I ended up welding them. Problem seems to of went away for the most part. It might have to do with the drag launch springs too, seeing that the passenger side spring is stiffer then the drivers side. I think I might go with a different spring setup in the near future. I guess its kind of pointless to have drag springs in a car that rarely sees the track
