check this out, was this car ever made like this? or was this an LX conversion. I thought GT's were loaded up and could not have standard items removed.

i've heard this is true, but it had to be special ordered from dealer.I have seen many v8 notches like this but never a gt? i imagine anything is possible if you had the cash!
 
possible. a friend of mine had a manual optioned, no/ac 87 gt 5 speed.

back in the day, his buddy had a new 87 GN, and they raced like 9/10 times; from a dead dig, roll, whatever. that GN couldn't beat this GT. it was def a factory freak, wish he would rave ran it at milan; but it was t-boned 2 months later and totalled.

I don't usually like ford cars but I like that stang. id rock it. and its devoid of all the useless heavy crap that plagues newer cars.

They really did make these, I actually sat in one at the dealership back in the day. Actually I think Sago was with me at the time, he may remember it also, it was a red one. A GT with absolutely no options. Hell, some of the stipped down ones at varsity didn't even have radios.

I had one also, but for a GT to be a no option car is really rare. There are quite a few notches like that.
 
i had an 88 GT that had no a/c, roll up windows, no power locks, manual seats, no cruise. it did have an automatic and rear defrost though..

too bad people cant order crazy cars anymore. option packages suck

thats becuase its a southern car. thats the best way for me to tell if its a southern car, when people lie and say its a southern car, thats how i check.

I've seen quite a few 87-89 GT's like that, not very common on a 90-93 GT

yet the ground f/x's add some weight :pow:

I have 2 91 notches from Flordia, 1 has rear defrost 1 doesn't. :wink:
