fox 5.0 smog pump eliminator question

today i pulled the cats off my 91 notch. i'm thinking i'll get a smog pump eliminator kit for it while everythings off. however, i noticed a vacuum line off the inline by-pass valve leading to the egr valve. i'm curious what the proper procedure is for this mod. also, do you just take the head-to-head pipe right off and plug the ported holes in the head? i know there's a threaded bung for the head that tapped inside too, for mounting accessory brackets. please advise accordingly. thanks. jim.
 
for the egr vac line you can just pull it off and the eec will automatically turn the egr off when it detects the vacuum loss...as far as the head pipe yes..just take it off and plug them..a cheap way to do this is using an old spark plug and break off the porcelin..its crazy BUT works...
