four cylinder F150?

A buddy of my dad's says he has a Ford F150 that has a twin plug four cylinder motor in it. I don't think ford built such a thing. After some time using Google I could not find anything on a four cylinder F150. Now I found that Ford put a twin plug four cylinder in the ranger and mustang in the early 90's. Could it be some oddball industrial motor? I think Mercruiser built a four cylinder that used a 460 big block head. I think the guy a has a Ranger on his hands. Any ideas?

I dont think a 4 cylinder could even power a truck? I don't know sounds kinda odd to me. I am pretty sure if it is a bigger truck especially like a F-150 it wouldn't have that small of a engine.

They never put a 4 banger in an f150. They did however put an 8 plugged 4 banger in a ranger though
