Does anyone know a site i can check ford part #'s such as e5te-6884-ab, or 83tm6884aa, eoae6881aa all are ford oil related parts, just want to get a description and price on them.

Every little bit helps, im getin closer and closer, I just uncovered a box of all bran new ford oil coolers and accessory parts that i forgot i had! I just tryn to figure out what i have.

*-6884-* and *-6681-* are oil filter adapter "base" numbers, the -6884- being a single part and the -6881- being an assembly (maybe including a switch or sensor).
The suffixes (-AA/-AB) have no real meaning except to seperate them from other usages in the same year/model....-AA might be for V8 and -BA might be for V6 for instance.

I couldn't find anything but the E5TE- in my database.

these numbers are enginering # not actual part numbers, they will help to idenify though (if i had a parts book!

He should be able to simply replace the E5TE- with E5TZ-, and that should give him the service number.

dont forget the suffix that will change application?

I wasn't getting defensive. You quoted me, and then reiterated what I said. I thought maybe you just misread what I stated in the first place.
No skin. ;)
