Does anyone know what modern Ford vehicles (90's/00's if any) have the key on the dash? I am looking for something that accepts a new key w/PATS chip. I just need a switch that is not column mounted.
Ford what it is worth, I am attempting to put a newer Ford wiring system into a restomod.. and was trying to find something a bit easier than chopping up a factory steering column to get the ignition on the dash.
I plan on using a Ford GT starter button.. just need somewhere to put the key in since they key is already on the dash, and I am using a stock 60's column.

Dunno if it can be done on Ferds, but the GM "chip" keys, which really is just a resistor, can be bypassed if you shut the anti theft off in the engine controller.
Look around to see if that's possible, if so, you then just need a key switch to turn the power on, and you can reuse the original key switch in the "restomod"
