Yeh for some classes or something they require using cars that have OEM part numbers and those would be them...dunno if they are even vin'd or if they are race-only or something...I think the old ones all setup for the racing stuff were pretty expensive. Full cage and all that jazz.

The FR500GT is $225k. It's on the cover of this month's Car&Driver. The article says that Dan Davis it thinking about reviving TransAm racing if GM and Chrysler came out with similar versions of the Camaro and Challenger.

That would be frigin awesome! :badass:

ahh, I see. I didn't take that great of a look at the two. I saw the boy racer and assumed that's what he was talking about.

And it might be almost as fast, or faster depending on who's driving

How quick are you around Grattan? IIRC, C&D turned 1:21s in the Man Racer and there's more in it.

Define almost,

Didn't they run a C6 Z06 around Grattan at 1:26 with stock tires???? Throw on some race tires and your at 122-123 ish for 75k vs 225k Not that I'm comparing a street car with a race car. There's a lot of money in safety equipment that can't be discounted.

And reliability, although the dry sump in the C6Z goes a long way toward that.
