Ford Edge hood Paint ? Costs and Anyone?

I can pick up a New aftermarket hood at schram for $135 but it is black primered. I need it painted Creme Brulee to match my Edge. Any ideas on cost or someone to do this?

Varsity Lincoln's body shop has done paint work for me in the past on my F150 and they've been great. I've also had a lot of work done on my wife's old Audi at Fischer Body (or Suburban Collision or whatever they're calling it now) on Grand River just east of the Harley Dealer.

both are just down the street from me. I talked to my old neighbor just now he said $250 to paint it. I thought that was kinda high.

Paint and supplies alone for the Mach 1 hood on my Mustang cost $211 which was the body shop price from the supplier. Then threw another $50 for my buddy to paint it. I knew paint was expensive, but damn, not that much.

Your probably going to want the fenders blended with that color which will add to the cost. A good paint job isn't cheap, conversely if you want a cheap paint job it won't be good. Also if that aftermarket hood is not certified you'll want to test fit if before paint.

Paint is insanely expensive. How about a nice black vinyl wrap or maybe plastidip? If you don't care about blending it into the fenders, $250 is probably the best you're going to find.

Dam. Never thought it would be so much. Maybe a Black carbon fiber wrap would be nicer :) If you look at the left edge of the hood you can see the rust traveled up the seam.

Would I sand the rust 1st? I was thinking of sanding the rust off and just getting some touch up paint. Plastic dip or vinyl which is easier?

I need to get a some quotes on My 2010 F150 Bumper as it is rusted to shit. I just got my new one in Primer So I need it Painted (red Though).

I don't believe that is an oem hood, check the seams for liquid seam sealer. If it has no signs on brush on or robotic seam sealed the hood has been replaced, that would explain the edge rust

The only thing she said was replaced was the front bumper but it is possible it is aftermarket. Ever junkyard I call says the edge hoods didn't hold up to salt in Michigan.
