Ford 500 eng/trans swap

Will a 2006 Ford 500 engine and transmission (non-CVT regular automatic) swap into a 2005 Ford 500 (WITH CVT trans option)?

Thanks for any help.
 
According to Hollander exchange, the 3.0 is interchangeable from 05-07.
The same 3.0 is also used in the Mercury Montego and the Ford Freestyle in 05-07
