Taking a one day trip to Jacksonville & maybe hitting Daytona area on Saturday the 4th. While I am there for 24 hours I want to do at 2 things.
1.) Pig out on good seafood
2.) Get wet in in the ocean.
Anyone recommend any good places to go & what places to stay away from?

Just north of Daytona is a great seafood restaurant call Rip Tides. My kids talk about ot all the time.

Ill be on a whirlwind tour of florida in 2 weeks

Friday Jacksonville
Saturday tampa
sunday Detroit
 
Unless it's Bike Week, Speedweeks, or Spring Break there's nothing going on in Daytona. Being able to drive on the beach is kind of cool if you've never been there before.

We usually stay at some cheap dive on the water in Ormond Beach when we go down for racing but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I would just look for a place on the beach in Daytona Beach and check online reviews.
