First race ever today - broken blower belt ended some of the fun

First race ever for me today at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI. Summit Series, ran Pro (no box).

First pass ever in the quarter mile - ran a 10.16 at 133.92 mph. At the finish line the blower belt disintegrated and took out my water pump wiring and wrapped what was left of the belt around the alternator belt.

So, took the shredded belt off the car and took a second qualifying pass, except I rolled through the lights, so no time. Nice. Now I have to go to the first round of eliminations with no idea what the car will run.

So, I pick 12.25 for the hell of it. Lost the round by 0.06 seconds to another Mustang. I ran 13.26 at 105 mph. Oh well. Had a great time and made some new friends.

Oh, here is how to make a 10 second supercharged car run 13 seconds.

glad to hear you had fun today bro, we could always take the blower off and add a turbo, that will fix the belt problem!!!!

the blower car i sold last year the belt tore apart on the guy a few days after he bought it off me and went threw the hood! i felt really bad and offered to pay to fix the hood but he was cool as hell about it and told me not to worry about it!
