"We have been in search of an 8 second timeslip with a true street car that has the factory 6r80 auto transmission that comes in the new 5.0

Under the Lund Racing banner, we have a few cars that are capable of it, just working up to that point.

We couldn't be happier that the first guy we tuned to get into the 8's is none other than 5.0 King of the Street winner Chris Cruz. Chris is an awesome guy and deserves it.

This was the first time out with the new Whipple 4.0L blower. As you can see from the video, with some tuning and traction, it should pick up.

Keep in mind that this beast is 3900 lbs with driver

Yeah, saw this a couple of days ago. Just amazing. I was gonna bring this up in the ZL-1 thread but it was already getting to be a Ford vs. Chevy nutswingers convention. LOL These modern 6-speed autos are the hot ticket for drag racing!

FYI though.....don't let it fool you....it has some serious money invested. All major components were replaced....IE upgraded short block, upgraded trans....200lb injectors.....4.0L blower.

For sure the car isn't stock. The stock is in ref to the trans. But then again it is a modified stock trans so ....

How much did Livernois drop into that ZL1 and what time did it run? This car is 3900lbs race weight , only 400lbs less. All from 302 cid gay modular power. Get bent.

I believe LMS used the stock blower on the Zl1 as well as a stock bottom end, this has a 4.0 whipple and a built lower end. kind of a big difference there....just sayin. badass car in the OP no doubt

I guess you dont know what a 6l80 is.....its the stock trans out of the camaro. i would have circle d build me on as well as a conveter much like he did for the car in the OP. Ive have them do a 6l80 for us on our turbo G8, those guys know there stuff.
