Finally got into the 11's with my P set up!

Stock high mileage explorer 302 long block, stock P heads never been off l/b. Trick Flow springs, Scotty Brown Custom Cam. Had the rear end set up down to the point I was actually able to launch at 6100+ and still cut 1.57-1.58 60fts on the 235/60/15 MT ET Drag Radials. Going into a mild headwind all day and on the 11.92 DA was at 1225 feet, not exactly the great air I was hoping for but still got it done. Couldn't round up anyone to go to film from the stands so all I had was in car but nokooler got vids from the stands that maybe he can share. I would love to see it from the outside from as good as it felt out of the hole ;-) 5 out of the 7 passes were in the 11's with a 11.98/11.99/11.935/11.933/11.929, should have been bracket racing, but the red lights would have killed me. First pass went 12.11 when I wasn't aggressive enough out of the hole not expecting the hook to be there. Last pass was just fugly flare up out of the clutch and it went 12.35@108. Still a good day, glad I get to park it for the year knowing it can go 11's.

What a great way to head into winter. I've gotten some of my best times in the fall. You look like you have that car figured out in the cockpit as well. Where you at Stanton?

Thanks both of you. Yea, I was really hoping I wouldn't have to wait the entire winter to make it in the 11s, it would make it that much longer and depressing! You know I was really hoping there would be some good fall air but it really wasn't that great at all, don't get me wrong, it was no August 3000 feet but I was hoping for a da below 1000 feet. Spring air is usually where it's at. Yes, out at Stanton. I've only been rowing the gears in this particular car for nearly 10 years now, yet I still manage to mess it up at times  Thank You though!
I've got another P headed build in the works, not sure if I'll be able to support it financially this winter but we'll just say there'll be a couple tweaks on this one :icon_wink In the mean-time this one will stay complete and in the car to wring a bit more out of assuming it stays willing until the next one is ready.

No, I wish I had and I damn hope he figured it out a bit better than that one! :punchball Watch, it'll be someone here on MM! I saw you posted some vids but can't see them here at work, what were you running out there?

In-car turned out nice ;). I am hoping for a Go-Pro steal on black friday :seizure:
TooSlo is by far the best stick driven fox I've seen at Stanton lol.....

I of course am 2nd ;) lmao!
I'll see if Jeremy can upload the videos tonight or tomorrow, he may even send you them.
I found this from MIFBODY.com .. @1:00 is you and SspdDmon. This guy had the Z28 that was off the side before the entrance. :(

Yup - That was my first pass ever in the car and I bogged 1st gear hard. It's sooooo quiet compared to the Z.

Notice that wheel hop as I went cruising by? :shake:

I managed to run two 13.316's before I gave up for the day...

Thanks you guys, you are too kind lol!

That would be sweet Chris! I can't wait to see what it looks like on the outside, when I play these in frame by frame it's definitely pointing more skyward than it seems to have before.

I never thought about a black friday deal on one of those, hmmmmm, good thing the wife always goes out for those sales while I sleep.

So still being at work and not able to see the vids I'm guessing that SspdDmon was running the red Coyote correct?

Looks like the front end came up on that one! Love the in car stuff. If I can get out again this year maybe I'll have the guts to tape myself as well. You are doing it right is all I can say! Good pass.

Nice runs! You can shift like a mofo.
What camera are you using? Looks like it's trying to smooth everything out, which makes it look like the car is barely moving.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!

:ty:

I don't know, I've been thinking it was going to lift for a long time now but it never does, it's got so much damn droop in the front end. Watching the in car frame by frame it is definitely going more skyward than I ever recall though. I guess we'll have to wait and see if Nokooler can convince his brother to upload the vids he got from the outside ;-) Well you have what, about a month left of possible chances at Milan before they close down so hope you can make it out there. And, Thank You again!

Now you guys are just gonna make me post my flub of a last pass so I don't get a big head  It's going to take a while to upload but I've got no shame in showing a last pass of the season disaster!

The camera is a Sony HDR-CX160 which I LOVE, but yes it has auto stabilize, I'm not sure about the barely moving part though as once out of the burnout box it looks normal to me :dunno: Thanks!

I'll get that cooked clutch, missed 4th pass uploading so you can all laugh, it still goes 12.35 though, almost matched my best going into this season!
