F16s from Luke AFB in Goodyear, AZ

My mom's place in AZ is a few miles away from the base where they train the F16 pilots, so everyday there were planes flying around. I'm a HUGE military aviation fan, so this was like a dream come true for me, especially since the F16 has been my favorite military plane since I can remember.

One day we went out and sat near the base, watching the planes take off and land. So, the further away shots are from my mom's back porch and the closer shots were taken right next to the base. The one flyover picture was actually taken through the sunroof of my mom's car.

The pictures of the Blackhawks were taken at the Botanical Gardens...they were flying overhead for a while when we were there.

Those are cool little planes, awesome pics. If you're ever in New Mexico swing by Holloman AFB. The new 22s that they replaced the 117s with are the tits. It's a bit sad that pilots are pretty much obsolete now and most jets will now be autonomous. I'm curious if they'll ever replace the 22 with something which isn't autonomous. Hope you don't mind a few more pics. I took these at X-Prize 2007.

Awesome! I built 4 f-16 sculptures for some Air Force pilot's wives before christmas, they were giving them to their husbands as gifts. Those jets are wicked.

I've loved F16's forever - great shots! Wish I had decent eyes so I coulda actually flew one.

X2 If I weren't as colorblind as I am I would be in the military right now trying to fly jets. It always was my dream job. All the people I worked for on base said that I should join and ride a desk until they gave me a plane but sadly that will never happen. My dad has had complimentary flights in both the F-16 and the F-4 I'm so jealous.
